September. Back to School. Fall.
Are there transitions or changes coming to you this month? There is a definite shift in my household- new schedules, routines, quiet time for me working at home. And also, a new busy-ness that comes with adjusting to those new routines.
So I have a few thoughts for you to consider so you don't get stuck in "I'm so busy" or overwhelmed thinking.
For example, if you think:
-I don’t have time to XYZ anymore...
-I’ll do it when I find the time (or when the time is right). -
-I'll do it later. (When I miraculously have more time.)
Truth bomb- "so busy” is a story you’re telling yourself!
I know it seems really true. Your calendar may be full. Spending time in the car, driving people around. Running to the store. No time to relax. No time for you.
The busy story works pretty well for things that you don’t want to do like cook, clean the bathroom, work out, meditate, journal, go get that check-up you keep putting off…
The issue is- our brains will ALWAYS try to prove this story right as long as we believe its even partially true.
Soooo as long as you hold on to any part of this story, you will always be too busy! And…”too busy” is not efficient, creative, productive, compassionate, or likely how you want to be remembered in this world.
“I’m so busy” means new systems & time hacks won’t be effective because you are still thinking “I don’t have time for…” in the background.
I get it. I’ve been there. Which is why I love to help others literally, 𝘊𝘙𝘌𝘈𝘛𝘌 time where there seemed to be none !
HOW? it starts with how you THINK & talk about it… even to yourself.
Consider one of these thoughts instead:
*I will figure out how to make time for what’s important in my life.
*I make time for what’s important in my life.
*I am learning how to make the best use of my time.
*I’m a MF time ninja and I get sh!t done!
So start today! Which new thought is believable for you to swap out so that you have time for what’s important to you?
